Enticing world of pictures

Welcome to the world of pictures, images , paintings or picture book art. Perhaps because I am a Children's Librarian my most favorite art form is picture book art.
If I have not already mentioned I would one day love to visit the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art.
I love Artist to Artist: 23 major illustrators talk to children about their art.

Another secret I have never shared in public is I would love to be on the Caldecott committee one day. I wonder what it takes???

    I hear that the Eric Carle Museum is wonderful. I work with his god-daughter...and she isn't as impressed with him as we all are!!! Maybe, she just knows him as Uncle Eric....but she does know he is AMAZING....but just doesn't see god in him - I do

    I find that aspect of human nature amazing-I think highly of some artist/author and somebody related to them does not think so.

    I listen to them and merrily continue with my thinking.....I will form my own opinions of a person- and not get carried away with what others say.
